Myton Fire Dept. serves Myton and surrounding areas in Duchesne County as an all-volunteer fire department.

  • Operates 24 hours daily as the city’s emergency fire response agency. 

 The department is connected with Myton City administration at City Hall on Main Street. 

The Myton City General Plan states:

  • the department is fully volunteer-based,

  • has about 15 members,

  • includes several certified Firefighter I personnel,

  • and responds to both structure and wildland fires through contracts with Duchesne County. 

Regional training exercises are often conducted jointly with neighboring agencies such as Duchesne Fire & EMS. 

The Myton City Fire Department's mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors from the adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies. 

Our goal is to provide a protection program through a cost-efficient approach to emergency response, fire code application and public fire education.

 Current Fire Chief is Alan Allred.
